Gianna is 20 months old!

Yesterday Gigi had her well-baby doctor appointment. It was fairly uneventful, and the doctor was pretty much on time which was surprising. Predictably, Gianna was not fond of being poked and prodded, particularly getting her head measured for some reason. The shots, 3 of them!, actually went quickly with only a short burst of outraged shrieks. We then went home and resumed business as usual. I believe they said she is 23 lbs now, and 31 3/4 inches tall. Somewhere in the %20-25 percentile, except for her head, which is 97 percentile, heh heh. She's always had a pretty large head.

Gianna likes playing, "Timber," for which she says, "boon-boon!" It really just involves stepping up on a stool placed next to the bed, and we fall like a log onto the mattress, announcing "Timber!". For some reason it really makes her giggle. We take turns flopping onto the mattress until I finally get lazy, and she just climbs on me. Her daddy calls the same game "Statue," which is sort of confusing, because as a rule statues don't fall down. I guess neither do trees, and in either case it's an unfortunate affair when they do. Except may for the Saddam Hussein statue toppled by the Americans, but doubtless that would have eventually toppled on its own without any forcible takeover on our part.

We stopped for a break at Farson, Wyoming. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Joe grabbed the camera and got several cute shots of Gianna, who was extremely enthused about the prospect of getting out of the car.
